Old traditions and classic old baits transcend the years in this collection. In the background is a Wisconsin guide's badge from 1958 pinned to the front of a hat. A yellow 1953 guide button is visible in front of the hat, along with a guide patch on the sleeve of a checkered shirt. Dominating the photo is a Pop Dean Master Bait from the 1940s. Surrounding the Master Bait are three J.F. Deep Runners made by Joe froelich of Sayner, WI, in the 1930s. An original Froelich lure box is shown at the top left corner. Near the brim of the hat is a Pop Dean Sucker with a buckskin tail, made in the 1940s at Sayner. A gaff hook, commonly used by northwoods guides in the 1930s, is visible at the upper left. The gaff point is resting on the brim. This has a textured finish (no glass), giving it the look and feel of canvas and is professionally framed in a 1.75" rustic brown frame.
